Blade - Change/Curve

Please note that the instructions below are general guidlines for how to change and curve a blade. Following these instructions may damage your equipment if caution is not taken. FloorballKit takes no responsibility for equipment damaged as a result of following these guidelines.

How to change a blade

1. Remove the screws from the blade.
2. Heat the blade joint with a heat gun, hot water or a hot plate. Caution! Be extremely careful not to overheat the plastic and melt the blade.
3. Remove the blade carefully. Do not twist!
4. Heat the new blade joint as stated in instruction 2 above. Completely insert the new blade, making sure that the wedges at the bottom of the blade joint fit into the slots in the shaft.
5. Fasten the blade to the shaft with the enclosed screws.

How to curve a blade

1. Heat the blade with a heat gun, hot water or a hot plate. Caution! Be extremely careful not to overheat the plastic and melt the blade.
2. Heat the blade evenly, making sure not to concentrate on only one area of the blade.
3. Shape the blade.
4. Keeping the blade in it's shaped position, cool the blade in cold water.
5. Note! Never use a blade or a stick that is cold as it's likely to crack.
